Week after week stories have been told and listened to in a workshop with young migrant men and women, giving birth to Guide Invisibili: sound walks, audio guides, that accompany the listener-explorer around Rome, following a red line that traces the lives, the observations, the cultural background and traditions of these young migrants.
Guide Invisibili is an opportunity to look at the city of Rome through a new perspective. The stories told in these sound walks break the closed space of the reception centers and connect these migrant narratives with our daily life, with the energy of the Roman neighborhoods, giving to them a different and unexpected shape.
Since 2016, over 4,000 people have listened to the sound walks of Guide Invisibili, walking up and down among the colored stands of the Esquilino market, past the groups of noisy tourists in the narrow streets near Piazza di Spagna and the Monti neighborhood, into the magical stillness of the squares in Trastevere, among the university students of San Lorenzo or through the labyrinth of chaotic passageways in Termini station.
